Some old posts on these forums (and Arch forums) suggest installing b43-firmware package, but if I try to do so, installer says it conflicts with manjaro-firmware.

It finds and establishes connections just fine. Happens totally randomly - sometimes just twice a day, sometimes every several minutes.Īfter lots of search I found BCM4360 causes lots if issues, but unlike all other people, I never had a single problem with adapter itself not being listed and/or WiFi connection not being found. Sometimes it comes back a few minutes later, sometimes I have to manually disconnect and re-connect again. It NEVER displays “Disconnected” message, but just displays 0.00 kb/s and connection doesn’t work (can’t even connect to router). Adapter works out of the box, but connection stos responding randomly. Manjaro KDE with Asus PCE-AC68 PCI-E adapter (based on BCM4360). My only option is to use wired PowerLine connection, which isn’t as fast as WiFi, so I’d like to finally fix it. Please let me know if you need any further information.Have this issue for months, but can’t solve it. I have also checked that in Software & Updates -> Additional Drivers the box for "Using Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA wireless driver source from bcmwl-kernel-source (proprietary)" is ticked. I have already checked that the firmware-b43-installer package is not installed on my system. As I have had these issues before, I suspect that I might have changed some settings in the past that prevent my driver (bcmwl-kernel-source) from running correctly. Unfortunately, the suggested solutions do not work on my computer. This is a known issue for my Wireless Card (Broadcom BCM43142) that has been covered here: When I try to reconnect, the system sometimes freezes completely. I keep getting disconnected from the internet.
